Summary:
A leading financial analytic software vendor seeks a MOSS developer to join our software development team at our Williamsburg office. The successful candidate is self-motivated and enjoys working on a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced environment. Critical to a good fit at our company is the ability to independently research and solve problems, ultimately leading to comprehensive backend and frontend designs and implementations.
Position:
In this position, you will implement custom business logic for client web sites, coding backend components and programming layers. You may also work from design documents to construct MOSS/web pages for the client-side interface, working with .NET, HTML and CSS, as well as create aspx pages and associated code-behinds.
Responsibilities:
• develop, test and deploy projects in concert with our software team
• research and develop technologies that will allow us to enhance existing products and create more compelling solutions for our clients
Ideal candidate has demonstrated ability to deliver software and has experience with the following technologies:
• SharePoint (WSS 3.0, MOSS 2007)
• ASP.NET (preferably in C#, but VB.NET will be considered)
• SQL Server 2005
• HTML, CSS, Javascript
Additional experience/skills desired:
• knowledge of web site operational environments
• experience with object-oriented software development
• experience building database-driven web applications
• XML / XSL
• .NET 2.0 / .NET 3.5 / SQL 2000
• Source Control (e.g. CVS, Subversion, Visual Source Safe)
• Web Services
Experience:
• 2+ years of software development (with at least one year MOSS experience)
