Part I: E-Discovery & Litigation Readiness and Response Planning
In today’s corporate climate, organizations face the continuous threat of litigation, be it a human resources-related claim or a major product liability class action. In each instance, IT and legal are often thrust together with ridiculous timelines and unbelievable pressure. Just as any organization has a well rehearsed disaster recovery and business continuity plan, a litigation readiness and response plan is equally important. At August’s Breakfast on Broadway, Stephen L. Stewart, RVM’s Director of E-Discovery, will focus on how these plans are created and the tools, techniques and technologies necessary for effective litigation readiness.

Part II: Software-plus-Services (S+S)
If you follow technology news these days then you know that the idea that software can reside in the cloud is getting a lot of attention. Software as a Service (SaaS) and Software plus Services (S+S) are the most common terms used today to describe this idea. This session will define these terms – showing how they are similar and how they are different. This session will also present a few simple scenarios that articulate the business value of Software plus Services. Microsoft’s plans for positioning its products for Software plus Services will conclude this discussion.
