The National Career Readiness Certificate verifies to employers that an individual possesses foundational skills in three areas essential to job performance. The Certificate is based on three of ACT's WorkKeys Assessments – Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, and Locating information. Two of these assessments have been taken by Illinois high school juniors during their Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE) since the PSAE began in 2001.
