Hello Seattle Podcasters, This month, we have the opportunity to visit the Seattle Channel to learn about their operation and gain an understanding of how they use traditional media and the web to ditribute their content. The SEATTLE CHANNEL presents programs on cable television (channel 21 on Comcast and Millennium) and via the Internet to help citizens connect with their city. Programming includes series and special features highlighting the diverse civic and cultural landscape of the Pacific Northwest's premier city. The SEATTLE CHANNEL web site (www.seattlechannel.org) offers streaming video worldwide, and includes an archive featuring video on demand of all programs. Beth Hester (Station Manager) and Laurie Bullock (Web Manager) have graciously offered to show us the facility and field our questions. The facility will technically be locked up at that hour, so we will meet in the parking lot so that we can all enter at the same time (I will provide my cell to those who RSVP when we get closer to the event so that we can grab you if you don't make it on time, but please make every effort to arrive by 7pm). Thanks, and until then, Happy Podcasting!
