Learn more about the New York State Cultural Data Project
As you know from your participation in a previous presentation about the Cultural Data Project (CDP), the New York State CDP is a collaborative effort of the New York State CDP Task Force.
Over the past six months, the New York State CDP Task Force has secured seed funding for the project and has worked to expand the project’s outreach to other funders, with the intent of launching the CDP in New York State in the summer of 2009. The success of the project depends upon the participation of a broad and diverse group of important arts funders who collectively will be able to reach and serve the majority of arts organizations in the state, through support of the project and/or use of the CDP in their grant application processes. The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts are committed to using the CDP as part of their grant application processes.
We would like to inform you about the next steps towards launching the CDP in New York State as we begin to identify funders that will commit to using the New York State CDP as a resource for their grant application process. We are not asking for a financial commitment at this time.
